TRANSFER STATION
The Jackman Transfer Station is now a taxed based facility. If you are a resident or own property in the Jackman, Moose River, Dennistown, or cooperating Unorganized Territories, (Contact the Town Office at 207-668-2111 if you are wondering if you are in a cooperating Unorganized Territory) you must have a vehicle sticker. These stickers may be picked up at the Jackman or Moose River Town Offices prior to going to the Transfer Station. NOTE: Stickers are for household waste only. There are fees for other items brought to the Station. The Transfer Station is a Single Stream Recycling facility. Please click on the below attached document for the cost of other items accepted at the Transfer Station and Recycling information.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT PUT ITEMS LIKE TV'S, COMPUTERS AND OTHER E-WASTE INTO THE HOUSEHOLD WASTE, DEMO, WOOD OR METAL CONTAINERS.
THIS INCLUDES NOT PUTTING THEM IN LARGE TRASH BAGS AND THEN INTO THOSE BINS.
DOING THIS INCREASES THE COST CHARGED TO THE TOWN.
ALL E-WASTE MUST BE PUT INTO THE E-WASTE STORAGE BUILDING.
